GOVERNING BODIES OF AN URBAN LAG:

  • Urban LAG has a general meeting of members, a collegial management body in which the partners are represented by an equal number of members of the management body, a manager or an administrative manager
  • Urban LAG follows a horizontal partnership principle: equal opportunities for men and women, non-discrimination and youth inclusion
  • When carrying out actions to implement the local development strategy, urban LAG follows the principles ofobjectivity, non-discrimination, equality, impartiality and transparency, confidentiality and thoroughness

RESPONSIBILITIES OF AN URBAN LAG INCLUDE:

  • Strengthening the capacity of local development project developers and implementers needed to prepare local development projects and administer their implementation
  • Selecting local development projects
  • Monitoring the implementation of local development projects selected by the urban LAG and the local development strategy
  • Publicising the local development strategy
  • Reporting on the results of the implementation of the local development strategy

RIGHTS OF AN URBAN LAG INCLUDE:

  • The right to receive information, consultations, trainings and methodological assistance related to the implementation of the local development strategy from the Ministry of the Interior of the Republic of Lithuania when preparing the local development strategy
  • The right to participate in the preparation and amendment of legislation related to the implementation of local development strategies

SUPPORT FOR AN URBAN LAG:

  • For the administration of the implementation of the strategy
  • To implement actions (projects) in accordance with the local development strategy
